General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Redness, swelling, pain in the hands are indicative of RA. Other medical conditions that manifest with such symptoms are OA, Gout or carpal tunnel syndrome. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get antibody blood (RF, Anti CCP, ANA, CBC, ESR, C-reactive proteins, etc) tests get done.

Get X-Ray, MRI done to get confirmed. In the meantime, take NSAIDS, Combiflam, one sos when needed after food. Do hand and finger exercises under a physiotherapist, avoid sedentary lifestyle. Take vitamin E rich food or Evion-400, once daily for 15-20 days after food for better lubrication of the joints.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
