Hello,
You are suffering from
redness, swelling peeling of the skin around your eyes. Your symptoms are indicative of
allergic reaction or
atopic dermatitis. Avoid the use of chemical cosmetics. Eye rashes may be caused by cosmetics, mascara, soaps, sunscreen, facial washes, exfoliating scrubs, moisturizing creams, etc. Old cosmetic products can also go bad and start to harbor bacteria or fungi that can then be deposited on or near your eye when used. Avoid possible triggers and irritants. If you use contact lenses, be sure to clean them properly each night. Always clean your face before going to sleep.
Take antihistamine to reduce allergic reactions, inflammation and swelling. Apply
aloe vera based ointment or cream around the eyes & area affected. Do not touch, pop or scratch. Use humidifier in the room to stay comfortable. Avoid irritants like smoke, pollen, dander, or other allergens that may trigger the symptoms. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a
dermatologist to rule out or detect autoimmune condition, herpes rash,
Lyme disease,
cellulitis, etc. You will be treated accordingly and given special medical attention.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
