I think I may have blood clot as I now have redness with swelling in lower leg. My dr. Appointment is june 1 . Redness just started today I have . Last week itvwas not as red abd went away. Have family hx. Of this . Am taking high bp meds. Work in the hospital field over 40 yrs and try to avoid . Drs. Sorry
Cut on alcohol or addictions if any. Cut on salt intake. Avoid salty food and extra salt intake. Keep your foot on a stool when sitting and on a pillow when on bed. Stay well hydrated. Get clinically examined by a GP at the earliest. Get all required tests and investigations done.

Hello, Swelling and redness in the lower legs is commonly due to venous insufficiency, salt retention, cellulitis, congestive heart failure, deep venous thrombosis, allergies, varicose veins, etc. You also have history of hypertension, continue to take your prescription medicines for hypertension. Cut on alcohol or addictions if any. Cut on salt intake. Avoid salty food and extra salt intake. Keep your foot on a stool when sitting and on a pillow when on bed. Stay well hydrated.
