What Causes Reduced Fetal Movement After Taking Betnesol Injection?

Hi doctor

I m 34 weeks pregnant. Taken betensol Injection ( 2 dose time period of 24 hrs)/after taking injection I feel less movement. My baby was very active during night time but after injection I feel low movement . is tar normal? What could be cause I m very much worried because dr said my baby weight s low .

I understand your concern.
Betnesol injections are indicated to be taken for enhancement of fetal lung maturation, which helps in case there has been preterm labor.
It is a common experience by many who receive steroid injections during 25th to 34th week of gestation that changes occur in fetal movements ranging from reduction to cessation of fetal movements.
Nothing much to worry about this as it is just a transient phenomenon.
Fetal movements should return to normal by 24 hours after the last injection of steroids.
