Hi doctor My son is four months old.i am not having sufficient breast milk.though i took lactare and many ayurvedic treatments ,he is not getting sufficient milk....my doctor recommended giving him dexolac 1infant formula milk.but the problem is his weight is increasing ..his birth weight was 3.4kg and now he is 8.7kg..so i started giving him ragi porridge in order to lessen the intake of dexolac...but after having ragi his stools colour changedfrom yellow to greenish and sometimes in a loose watery form..plz advice me if the stools colour change is normal..?.can i continue dexolac?is his increasing weight a problem
Whenever you change the diet of the baby, there is a change in its stool consistency and color. If your milk is not sufficient for the baby, you can continue Dexolac. It is good that his weight is increasing, no need to worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Himani Saroha
