What Causes Regurgitation And Foamy Phlegm After Taking Bread Products?

Hello, I really hope so. For some time now my husband has been regurgitating quite a large amount of foamy phlegm after eating bread products or apples. It only used to happen from time to time but is increasing in frequency, and he has had two attacks in two days. He has had an endoscopy which showed a small gastric ulcer and also that his oesophagus seemed to be spasming and he was given Omneprazol (?). He was fine for three weeks but now it has started again. He is 82 years old and has been on blood pressure medication and low dose aspirin for about eight years. I am now getting worried.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, this could be GERD and condition need to be treated for at least six weeks, with "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg" once in day at evening time ( Here timing of dose is very crucial because acid secretion in human body increases at evening time so PPI need to be given at this time only)
he need to avoid spicy food, coffee, smoking, alcohol, prior to bed, hope this information helps, take care.
I find this answer helpful
