Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a period twice in one month, and this is the second time this has happened. This second time around was a surprise, with no PMS symptoms. However, I am extremely bloated and have to pee a lot. I am a breast cancer survivor, so I am concerned.
Hello! Thank you for asking HCM! I understand your concern! Answer:There are so many reasons that can cause abnormal uterine bleeding. Sometimes it may be a premenopausal symptom. Or it may be caused by thyroid dysfunction, dramatic weight loss or gain, coagulation defects, excessive exercise, stress, some medications can affect the cycle, sexually transmitted infections, endometrial uterine polyps, and submucosal uterine fibroids. I suggest you to consult a gynecologist and do a transvaginal ultrasonography .
