General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. any kind of sexual intercourse can give rise to mild amount of bleeding. if the intercourse is forceful then friction to vaginal wall causes its tearing and then bleeding. if you are in late phase of menstrual cycle that is nearby bleeding time then vaginal wall becomes more vascular and friable and intercourse can cause bleeding. generally these bleeding are self limiting and do not require any treatment. if bleeding is large you have to consult a doctor. if you missed your period or you have any doubt please do UPT as it is so reasonable to do than be nervous.
if you feel any doubt please ask us
regards
dr. Abhijit
