General & Family Physician 's  Response
Restlessness and loss of sleep are common side effects of dexamethasone. These side effects are not permanent and resolve after stopping dexamethasone. But you have not written why you are taking dexamethasone. If you have written here then I could have suggested an alternative.
Advice
1.     Continue dexamethasone as suggested
2.     Avoid smoking, coffee and alcohol specially in night
3.     You can take alprazolam at bed time for sleep for 10 days
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thank
