Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rib Cage Pain And Light Brown Pinkish Spotting Before Periods?
I am 43. I noticed some light brown pinkish spotting the week my period should have come. In a few days it stopped and then few days later seems to be returning with some cramping and some random pain under where my rib cage is on the right side. What is the reason? Should I be concerned? Thank you.
I don't think that the rib cage pain us related to spotting. I believe they are causes by different situations. The spotting may be hormonal issues or premenopause also. Rib cage pain may be causes possibly by osteochondritis. I believe you need to get physically evaluated by a doctor firstly then do an abdominal ultrasound.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
