What Causes Right Sided Abdominal Pain After A Neck Surgery?
I ve had a tightness and pain on right side of neck for three weeks.as well as left hip and upper abdominal pain, the e.r. say its nothing, tho that s the same thing they said 12 x before they did neck surgery two years ago, what can I do to get the care I need?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Pain in abdomen on the right side and the right hip may not be related to the neck surgery 2 years ago. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: First of all get a clinical diagnosis by consulting your Family Doctor so that a proper clinical examination can be done to decide the probable causes which can be as follows: Appendicitis. Colitis or typhlitis. Lymph node or any other inflammatory mass. Stone in the right ureter. This can further be diagnosed by tests of stool, blood and urine; ultrasonography and CT scan if needed. CT scan can be extended to see for the causes of hip joint too in the same sitting. About the neck surgery: you should consult the Doctors who operated on your neck to get a proper cause and see for the probable diagnosis and have proper management. This can be due to muscle spasm as the most common cause.
