Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I was woken last night with acute abdominal pain on the right hand side of my abdomen. Its seemed to emanate from just below my ribs and it radiated around to the right side of my back. I am in good health, normal weight, 53 years old, eat a healthy balanced diet and exercise 3 times a week. I have been navigating an extremely stressful situation fir the past 12 months
I advice you to do a USG abdomen & pelvis to rule out underlying pathology if any - Take excess of fluid intake - serum Pancreatic , liver or kidney enzyme analysis ( LFT, RFT etc) - antispasmodics to relieve pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards, Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
