What Causes Right Sided Back Pain Radiating Towards Pelvis?

For the past week or so I have had pain in the right side of my back just below the rib cage and going down into my pelvis and across to the middle of my back - this is also accompanied by right front sided stabbing pain in the same location - although this is not constant like the back pain and feels sometimes like a stitch you get after running. Bowel movements are either loose or very hard.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to sciatica pain. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest doing gentle stretching exercises to relieve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
