What Causes Right Sided Body Pain While On Prednisone For Cough And Congestion?
I have been sick for the past 4 weeks- severe coughing, congestion, etc. My dr put me on prednisone and 2 doses of antibiotics. Last week I started having an awful pain in my right side- it goes around the front some of the time. It hurts to lay down, sit up or basically move. Could it just be a pulled muscle from coughing so hard??

Based on your query, I would like to rule out pneumonia, with pleural effusion and rib injury (fracture), and pnemothorax (bubble in the lung). These can result due to forceful cough and infection.
I recommend :
- an x-ray of the chest/ CT if indicated.
