General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Each ovary releases an egg on alternate month. If one is removed then the remaining one releases it every month. If the follicular study has revealed egg release on left, pain on the right might be due to some other reason. Most common is colitis and ureteric stone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
