General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The burning sensation may be related to the nerves supplying that area.

Neuropathy , abnormal structure or function of the nerves, can be due to different possible causes such as: (1) vitamin b12 or folate deficiency
(2)diabetes
(3)liver or kidney disease
(4)exposure to toxins
(5)infections
(6)stroke or Ms or other nerve related disease
(7)idiopathicic- cause is not known

There are medications that are used for nerve related pain that may be able to help you.
Eg lyrica, gabapentin, amitriptyline, tegretol

It may be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

I hope this helps
