What Causes Right-sided Pain, Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Hands And Legs?

I am having trouble with right side of my body. Swelling in my right knee, with pain on the back of my leg (I am currently getting injections to help lubricate under the kneecap). Also I am having almost constant numbness and tingling in my right hand and arm, especially when I sit or try and lie down. It s been sporadic over the years and I assumed it was because I laid wrong when sleeping, but lately it is almost continuous if I am not moving around. I have also noticed an unusual urgency in bladder function. I fell hard on June 1st, landed on both knees, and fractured my right wrist. I don t know how much of this is related. I am out of the wrist cast and still seeing the Orthopedic Surgeon for my knee. I do not have a family physician as I have been in good health till now (I m 67) so I am not sure who to go see about all this. I mentioned it at the Orthopedic visit this past week, but I only saw the PA who gave me the injection, and she said, Oh, its probably a pinched nerve in your neck and that was it.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello
Well, these are signs of certain neuropathic issues and this is most commonly seen in some metabolic disorders such as diabetes,of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy, accounting for about 30% of cases. In diabetic neuropathy, tingling and other symptoms often first develop in both feet and go up the legs, followed by tingling and other symptoms that affect both hands and go up the arms.
