What Causes Right-sided Rib Pain After Removing The Gall Bladder?
I am hurting on right side in rib cage just had gallbladder took out over 6 weeks ago thought it might be gas went to dr had xray and told it appears 2 and 3 of my rib cage are deteriating I am having ct scan in am what does this mean.I am a 57 year old female
Based on the history you have shared, it's better to get CT scan to rule out any ribs deformity as well as any structural pathology like ant chances of bony Mets though less likely in general but with history of ambiguous finding on X-ray it should be evaluated as a must.
Meanwhile, a CA19-9 and liver function tests should be done. Ultrasound may be repeated if CT is delayed. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen can be used.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
