What Causes Right Sided Ribs Pain After Taking Deep Breaths?

I am not sure but it hurts on my right side when i breathe in deep. so i avoid it. i dont have asthma or any lung disease that I know of. I noticed that my right side hurt this morning when I attempted to sit up in bed. I fell on Sunday but didnt hit myself on the right side.

Hi,

Very likely this is due to a muscular strain that might have happened when you fell. This is very likely especially because the pain is worse on breathing and when you do certain movements (sit up in bed).
I would advise you to take some pain killers like paracetamol 500 mg every 6 hours and ibuprofen 600 mg after food every 6 hours to help with the pain.

If no improvement in 3-4 days or you notice any worsening of the pain or any new symptoms you will need to see your doctor.
