I have severe pain in the area of my right shoulder blade. it is severly painful. also ice as does slow activity. IT is most painful at the beginning of the day and at bedtime. I have had no strenuous activity that would cause a tear in any of the shoulder muscles. as a former athlete I know what sprain, strain and torn muscle/ligament feels like. The skin is tender to the touch and I will often get sharp stabbing pain when I move it in a certain way. normally it is a severly nagging throb like a crick in the neck.
