What Causes Rigidity In Knee After Sitting For Long With Pain While Walking?

I, 49 years old, hurt my knee during vigorous exercise 2 months ago. It gets very stiff after sitting for a long period of time and feels better after laying down. Walking has mild pain and I can t run. It doesn t hurt to touch the knee, but a deep knee bend is the worst. The injury went from 50% bad to 30% bad, but it isn t improving anymore. What is going on inside of my knee?
