Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I discovered that when my bladder is full at night ( I am 85 years old) my BP may rise to 160 and even 180 and then in the time It takes to urinate it falls 40-50 mm to 120 -140. This repeats each time I get up at night to urinate with a full bladder. Is this dangerous?. Because of my tendency to have a very low B P ( 105-115) I'm careful about using mediation although I have recently been put on amlodopine 5 mg/day.
yes such swings of BP are not safe as they can postural giddiness and also fall. which can have dangerous consequences in you. so you can sort have timed bladder emptying but getting up at specified time to go for urine and sleep again and that could reduce fluctuation
