What Causes Round Spots On The Scalp?

My husband has developed two places missing hair in perfectly round spots on his head. One is toward the crown but the other is almost at the base of his hairline at the center of the base of his skull. Other than that he has a very full thick head of hair. What might be causing this?

* Most likely diagnosis is fungal infection in terms of Tenia in the majority of the instances.

Kindly consult him with an expert dermatologist for the earliest treatment and avoid spread to other surrounding areas.
- Shampoo of Ketoconazole for hair cleansing.
- Oral medications as Fluconazole at night for a period of 10 - 14 days.
- Supportive care with multivitamins and vitamin E, zinc in particular for hair nourishment and growth.
- Control of blood sugar.
