What Causes Running Fever And Headache?
my son who is 8 started running fever early Monday morning (2 am) He also complained of headache but no other symptoms. I took him to urgent care this morning and they did a strep test. The test came back negative but he went ahead and prescribed a 4 day antibiotic. I ve been giving my son Chiildren s Motrin every 6 hours. He only made it to 5 hours after his dose before his fever was back up and now it s higher than it has been since he first ran fever Monday morning. His fever is 104.2. does this sound like a virus ?

The symptoms you had mentioned are mostly due to some sort of viral infection as. For treatment you can give your son some antibiotic like moxikind-cv or syrup zifi-cv after an expert advice along with syrup calpol or nimol-plus for high grade fever and headache. Do cold sponging to reduce the temperature of his body.
