What Causes Running Nose And Nasal Blockage In An Infant?

Sir/mam..
My 1yr 2mntold baby wt 12kg has the problem of running nose nd also nasal block.he couldn't sleep properly bcoz of this.kindly suggest a medication for him. We are living far away from hospitals.we traveled to next state two days back,after that only his prblm started.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your son is suffering from Upper Respiratory Tract Infection and due to it he has congestion and running nose..
As it is Viral infection the symptoms will resolve once the virus complete its cycle..
To relieve the symptoms you can give him anti allergics like Benadryl, decongestant like Phenylephrine, saline nasal irrigation to ease in breathing as it loosen mucous and ease it's drainage..
You can also give him steam inhalation and chew a Vitamin C pellet as it improves immunity..
You can give him plenty of warm water and other warm fluids..
Give sufficient rest..
