Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am female and for passed 3 days my ribs are achy as well as having burning sensations it is under my left breast also a runny nose as well as diarrhea I have to run to bathroom ....I notice most uncomfortable when I sit straight up I'm okay when I lay down....do you have any idea what's going on .....thanks
Hello and welcome to HCM, Running nose and diarrhea suggest presence of infection of the upper respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract (GIT). Running nose is commonly seen in congestion of nasal mucosa which occurs due to viral infections. You can take an anti-histaminic for this symptom. Diarrhea is commonly due to bacterial infection, however, to be sure stool examination can be done to look for infection in the GIT. Regarding the achy ribs and burning sensation under breast breast, I would suggest you to take painkiller and observe the symptoms. If the symptoms do not disappear, you need to consult your primary healthcare provider.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
