What Causes Runny Nose And Shooting Eye Pain After Taking Novocaine?
I had a crown put in yesterday. Dentist used novocaine in the upper right side of mouth. I left sneezing and my nose has been running ever since with a shooting pain going up to my right eye causing constant watering. I have never had this reaction before. What can I do to make it stop?
As per your complain it seems that while giving you Novocaine shot there has been accidental hitting of the nerve leading to pain occurring along the entire nerve route that is going upto right eye along with runny nose and eye watering..
It will stop gradually as the nerve will start healing..
As of now you should start taking Vitamin B complex supplements and also do alternate warm and cool compresses over the painful are.. You can use decongestant nasal sprays..
In case if it does not improve in 2 to 3 days consult your dentist and get evaluated..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
