Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Runny Nose And Sneezing After Taking Fluticasone?
Is Fluticasone strictly for drying up nasal membranes? I don't have typical allergy symptoms of runny nose, sneezing etc. I just feel bad as in mental and physical depression. My Dr. Has given me Fluticasone and says I can also take Zyrtec. But if Fluticasone is just for drying and shrinking membranes....I don't need it.
Thanks for your query . The symptom you mention can occur as a side effect of drug fluticasone . The symptoms like running nose are taken as serious side effects .
So i would suggest you to immediately stop taking this medication . Fluticasone is used for allergic rhinitis , if you are ok with that then no need to take this medicine . Otherwise consult your doctor to substitute this medicine or alter its dose .For now you can also take zyrtec.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
