Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the salty discharge from the
wisdom tooth extraction socket seems to be due to infection in the extraction socket and the discharge seems to be pus..
The infection can be due to accumulation of food in the socket if there is not maintenance of proper
oral hygiene while it can also be due to any left out root piece in the socket or due to foreign body
impaction in the socket..
I would suggest you to consult your
dentist and get evaluated and in case of infection he can irrigate the socket with antiseptic solution and advise you a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers along with warm saline gargles and gargle with antiseptic mouthwash..
In case of left out root piece or foreign body in the socket removal of same followed by antibiotics will help..
As of now you can gargle with antiseptic mouthwash as well as do warm saline gargles..
Avoid chewing from the affected side..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
