Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor my name is mitt today I was at the luna park and I jumped and I crashed my head hard and I fell on the ground and I came up fast but I felt a salty taste like blood in my mouth when I was walking and I'm really worried and its late here and I can't see a doctor please help me and stood awake just this weird taste.
As per your query salty taste in mouth after hitting head hard on ground and on walking is because of traumatic injury to brain which leads to affect olfactory nerve sensations and it can cause complete or partial loss of sensations.
I would suggest you to visit neurologist once and get yourself properly examined. Go for blood tests and MRI for proper evaluation of head injury. Once it will be resolved your salty mouth symptoms will resolved.
Keep chewing sugarless candies to increase salivary stimulation. Drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
