Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing almost like a scalding on the inside of my thighs next to my genital areas. I have no itching, there is no burning with urination, no burning other than the site itself, no discharge or odor that would lead me to believe it to be a yeast infection, have not had sexual contact with anyone in years. I do wear pads for bladder control. Have not changed soaps or detergents lately. What am I missing? I am 70 years old.
It can be Sweating, Jock Itch, Obesity that may cause the friction between the inner thighs causing a flaky, scaly rash on the inner thighs. Maintain a healthy weight, take care of your hygiene, wear cotton clothes, avoid multiple sex partners & avoid unprotected sex.
Apply Antifungal creams (Econazole) or oral antifungals (Fluconazole). Dry the affected area before applying the ointment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
