Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 75 yr old male... noticed 3 days ago, my testicals have become leathery and dry...no pain. I had knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago and am doing great..no pain. I am on Tamsulosin .4 mg. Once a day for enlarged prostate and recently went to taking it twice a day. Why are my testicals leathery now...could it be the medication ??
I understand your concern If the skin is dry, painless, paperlike, crumpled then it could be due to an old healed wound due to many infection. Your symptoms could be due to contact dermatitis, fungal infection. I would suggest to consult dermatologist for examination. Fungal infection require Clotrimazole ointment and oral terfinadine. Apply Cetaphil moisturizer cream. Wear pure cotton loose inner and maintain proper pelvic hygiene. Change inner after workout. Avoid sweats and keep the area clean and dry. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
