What Causes Scaly, Itchy Patch On Upper Labia?

Hi, i'm complaining of a scaly itchy patch on my left upper labia majora.it is not erythematous.it comes& goes spontaneously over the last few months.when applying vaseline or soothing cream,or when removing by razor ,it subsides.no pain,no abnormal vaginal discharge.mainly annoyed from itching & appearance,any help plz.
