Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have patches pf skin on my back that are thick, scaly and have had them for years. My doctor (Kaiser) has said to ugnor them which I have done. The patches are not itchy and cause no discomfort but I cant wear anything backless since they are dark brown and ugly. I have looked at all the pictures of 80 different types and have not located any like these. can you help me?
There are many possibilities like P.Versicolor, vitiligo, P. roseea, or psoriasis. There are many more possibilities. It's very difficult to say without seeing the pic.
So if you could send us a picture or discuss this with your local doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
