What Causes Scanty Urination?

O.K. I have a weak urine stream in the morning when I first get up. No other issues; no pain anywhere, no other symptoms I can identify. The rest of the day is normal. I can usually sleep through the night without any problems, it is rare if I get up in the middle of the night and then it is just the one time and I can go back to sleep. Not sure when this morning issue began, but noticed it about 2-3 weeks ago. I am 61, 207 pounds, 6 1 and in fair shape (a bit over weight). I still have an active life style.

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concern. I am a practicing anaesthesiologist and pain consultant.
As you have mentioned that you are 61 years old. Prostatic enlargement is quite common at this age group. Prostate enlargement causes narrowing of urethra, which is final urine pathway, resulting in weak urine flow.
You don't have to worry. Consult urologist, he may suggest you investigations like, ultrasonography, uroflowmetry. Depending upon that , you may require medical treatment or surgical attention.
