What Causes Sciatic Pain And Blood In Stool?

I have an abdominal aortic aneurism measuring 5.2 cm. My doctor prefers to wait and monitor my condition as he is concerned about the dangers of surgery. I had a partial colectomy in 2013, and have been cancer free since then. Recently, a stool test showed some blood in the stool. Additionally, I have recently experienced sciatic pain. Could this pain be a symptom of internal bleeding? I have an appointment with my G.I. on Monday, and want to be informed of the possibilities before I meet with him.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Since you had operated for colon cancer, we should definitely rule out recurrence of colon cancer in your case.
Blood is stool and sciatica like pain can be due to relapse of cancer.
So consult gastroenterologist and get done clinical examination of abdomen, CT scan of abdomen and PET scan to rule out cancer recurrence.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
