What Causes Scoliosis?

hi my name is priscilla Rossiter and I m seeking advice for my partner who has been diagnosed with scoliosis and has been suffering with agonising pain everyday since he was 18 we have seen many doctors in both hospital and gp s even chiropractors with no successful treatment they give him all kinds of medication for the pain but that s it and hes losing sleep to the point where he can interact with our daughter because hes tired all the time very rarely get to have a proper day without pain he has lost a lot of weight and muscle in the past 3 1/2 years this is ruining his life and his health so I m trying to find so one who will help him properly and not just turn him away please give me advice this is my last opition

Hello,

Scoliosis can cause compression of the nerve roots and thus results in excruciating pain.

As first-line management, you can take drugs like gabapentin which is quite effective for neuropathic pain.

If symptoms are severe, surgical correction may be required.

Consult a spine surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
