Hello,
You have thrush on your penis. You had been applying topically ointment
Canesten and developed redness and discomfort. You stopped using it and were prescribed Daktacort cream to apply topically, now you have developed redness and itchiness. You are suggested not to apply any topical cream as your penile skin is very sensitive.
Take care of your hygiene and stay gentle with your private organ. To reduce the developed allergy and itching you can take non sedating anti
histamine for relief. Do not touch, pop or scratch. You can take a course of anti-fungal (
Fluconazole) orally for quicker relief.
In case of dryness of the penile skin you can apply water based moisturizer or a thin layer of
Soframycin cream. Your symptoms should reduce. If it remains persistent you should get clinically examined by a
Urologist, get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. You will be treated accordingly. Stay away from any sexual activity for a couple of days.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
