Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Seeing Of Bright Lights In The Field Of Vision?
I have recently been discharged from the hospital for afib and my heart rate would go from 38 up as high as 98. I just now recall that while I was doing some coloring I would get fast bright lights in my vision. Could this have something to do with my condition?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Maninder's Response
Hi,
The bright lights in the visions can have many etiological factors including cardiac conditions. So, changes to heart rate like atrial fibrillation and blood pressure can be one of those causes.
I would suggest you to get a complete ophthalmological testing done by an ophthalmologist so that the changes in the eyes/retina can be reversed at an early age (if any).
Even if everything is fine at this stage, I would suggest you to get it checked in routine to prevent any permanent change to the eyes.
I would suggest you to consider this just like an indication for eye care and not to worry about it in particular.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Maninder, General & Family Physician
