What Causes Seizures After Crying?

my 9 month son fell down from bed n started to cry excessively n suddenly after 15 seconds stopped to cry but closed his eyes for next 18-20 seconds,he went in unconscious state for that period.he is doing this thing rt from birth,,i m very scared,,should i go for any examination

Hi, these episodes could be breath holding spells or seizures. Breath holding spells occurs when child is crying for any reason like not doing what he wants. Seizures has no relation to crying, it occurs with or without crying. I suggest you to get the child examined once by a doctor. An EEG should be done to rule out seizures. Else, you can make a video of episode and ask on this platform. Take care.
