Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Seizures, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol And Sleepiness?
40 year old obese female. History of seizures, HBP and high cholesterol. Having episodes of sudden weakness with feeling of heaviness in extremities and sleepiness. Symptoms last for days. BP check was normal and glucose level was 130. What could be cause and what kind of dr should I see?
You have a history of seizures, high blood pressure and cholesterol. I would advise you to visit a physician and get your thyroid tests (T3,T4 and TSH) done in addition to review of your anti-seizure medication, if you are taking them. It also can be a cause for your symptoms. You must get your BP monitored on regular basis twice a day for at least 5 days and show it to the treating physician as one reading of blood pressure is insufficient to decide if it has been normal or not.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
