What Causes Sensitivity In The Clitoris While Weaning Antidepressants?
Okay so I have been slowly taking myself off of the three anti depression pills I am on completely off zoloft and the other one can t remember the name right now... And had myself down to 1/4 of my brupropion from a 300 mil pill. yesterday started to feel anxious and awoke to this un-comforting feeling of wanting to have a orgasmic without being sexually aroused... it was bad,,, went to the bathroom and had to put pressure on the clit torus to try and stop it.... Today I am more anxious and yelling a lot and still feeling that sexual sensation off and on....
Based on the history you have shared, the sexual arousals or abnormalities in sexual behaviour with anxiolytics can rarely be due to interference with autonomic nervous system and may manifest as abnormal sexual behaviors or unexpected sexual arousals. I suggest to take a follow up visit to your primary psychiatrist. You may need to use atypical antipsychotics alongside anxiolytics.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
