What Causes Sensory Ganglionopathy?

I have been diagnosed with sensory ganglionopathy but my neurologist isn't good at explaining things so I don't really understand it. Googling just gives me dense medical journal articles that are beyond my comprehension. Is there an easy explanation of it anywhere?

Sensory Neuronopathy include different disorders characterized by Primary Degeneration of Sensory Neurons in Dorsal Root Ganglia.
Causes are vivid :
-- paraneoplastic
-- dysimmune
-- toxic or idiopathic disorder.
Regarding evaluation is concerned it has variety of parameters like clinical presentation of sensory involvement, electrophysiological pattern in testings. which is of not usual concern of the patient as it`s complex for leading neurophysicians also in top institutes of the world.
