Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sepsis Dermatitis Despite Taking Lasix?
My friend has sepsis dermatitis, has had it several months, and has been taking Lasix for it.It hasn t gone away and her doctor wants to put her in the hospital for IV treatment. No room at the hospital so she is still at home, keeping her leg raised. What else can she do until she can enter the hospital?
Antibiotics will be the treatment of choice preferably IV antibiotics. If there is no provision for hospital admission, oral antibiotics can be tried. Keeping the limb elevated will help to prevent edema and worsening of the conditions.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
