What Causes Several Small Flesh Colored Bumps At The Back Of Throat?
I have several small flesh colored bumps in the back of my throat. Happens once every 6 months for me. There is no pain associated with these bumps in the back of my throat at all. It just has a raw feeling. I m not sick, I don t feel sick, I feel perfectly normal, I have no post-nasal drip when this happens or no stuffy nose...I can breath just fine. I haven t been around anyone that s sick. No itchy, sneezy or watery eyes. Pollen usually does not effect me. I swept coatings of pollen off my porch all last month and didn t sneeze once. I m baffled as to why these bumps keep reoccurring about every 6 months. They normally are gone after a week. I brush my teeth every night and don t wake up with a bad taste in my mouth. I do not sleep with a fan on me either. Any information would be great.
You are experiencing flesh colored bumps at the back of the throat every 6 months. It bothers you for they recur, though they do not cause you any hurt or discomfort. Several small flesh colored bumps at the back of the throat commonly occur due to a medical condition called pharyngitis, when the cells under the skin swell and look bumpy. When pharyngitis recur or have a tendency to become chronic, it is because of something that may be irritating the throat like acid reflux or allergies.
Normally cancers do not typically cause bumps at the back of the throat. Other medical conditions causing similar symptoms are bacterial or viral infections. However you can get clinically examined to rule out cancer. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, take salt water rinse 2-3 times a day. Use of cold-mist humidifier will be helpful. Consume warm fluids to feel comfortable. Taking throat lozenges will help you feel better. Stay from any food that causes you allergy and gas (acid reflux). Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
