What Causes Severe Abdominal Cramps And Brownish Vaginal Discharge?

I got my period 5-6 days early, spotting, brownish, had painful cramps. Then on Thursday 4/30 I got my period and was done earlier than normal, Monday or Tuesday (4th or 5th). I am still having some cramps and yesterday and today I have thick discharge clear with a little red in it. I am 34 years old.

Hi,
There are two possibilities. If you are sexually active, a miscarriage should be thought of, mostly chemical. In this context, you can get a clarification if you get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres. If negative, this disturbance could be due to transient hormone imbalance which should subside on its own in a couple of cycles. A proper clinical evaluation, a trans-vaginal sonogram should help assess the situation. Urinary infections which remain asymptomatic can sometimes cause such picture. Hope this helps.
