What Causes Severe Abdominal Cramps Radiating Towards Back?

I had a severe cramping in my stomach, sides and felt like in my back. I was in severe pain for approximately 6-7 minutes. I had just finished a breakfast of bacon, eggs and coffee. I stood and kept myself calm and tried some deep breathing, walking and eventually it stopped. Now, I just experienced this two weeks ago at work, just as I started to have my lunch. That pain, once again, lasted about the same length of time. I m 62, not physically fit, carry weight in mid section, have scoliosis, but basically see my dr on regular basis twice a yr, generally no issues and take no meds. What searching around and was thinking start of gall bladder problems. Any thoughts?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a part of renal colic, We have to rule out other possibilities like pancreatitis also.

Consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
