What Causes Severe Abdominal Discomfort And Bloating?
I have extreme stomach discomfort, it feels like I am turning to stone. It is mostly located on the right side between my ribs and hip area, very bloated also , I have felt like this for the past few weeks ,but it is getting worse. It seems like it is starting to affect my whole stomach area .....
Bloating can be due to different possible causes such as: (A) constipation (B) reflux (c) side effect of medication (D)lactose intolerance or food intolerance (e)use of gas producing foods such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, turnips, beans, brussel sprouts
IF you use a lot of these foods, reduction may help.
In addition the use of reflux medication may also help even if there are no overt symptoms of reflux eg pepcid, zantac, nexium, prilosec, prevacid
If there is no improvement or worsening, then you should see your doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
