Hi,
Noted the history related to your husband undergoing Laparoscopic
Gallbladder surgery 4 days ago, developed
severe pain in abdomen, he also puffed meth. If there is associated nausea,
vomiting,
bloating or change in bowel habits then the possibility of intestinal problem which may occur inadvertently during surgery. Even the gas insufflated during surgery can cause pain for a few days but you say the pain is severe. Bleeding. Meth can cause pain in abdomen due to intestinal spasms. Any known surgical complication.
All this can be diagnosed by the following ways:
Clinical examination by a Doctor, preferably the Surgeon.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
X-ray of abdomen in standing position.
Tests blood, urine and stool.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and thus allow proper treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
