What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain Along With Fatigue?
I was lifting weights tonight (as I do almost every night) and all of the sudden I experienced the most intense abdominal pain. It felt like a major cramp and I immediately became cold and clammy. It subsided after a few minutes, now my stomach just feels fatigued. I checked for signs of a hernia, but have found nothing. I am a 43 year old male in good shape and healthy. Could it just have been a cramp, or is there something else I should be worried about?
Severe abdominal pain during workouts or heavy weight lifting are commonly due to muscle strain due to a pulled muscle.
A strain occurs due to a weak area in the abdominal muscle. It may also occur 'cause of dehydration, obesity or extra fluid in the abdomen. Be careful, it may cause a hernia.
Stay appropriated hydrated & fed. You are suggested to get physically examined by GP before you continue your exercises to rule out any complications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
